Like all Frucht Pure products this fruit spread with elderberries is sweetened with a delicious combination of mild agave juice, and delicately fruity condensed juices of apples and grapes, and contains no added sugar. It has a finely rough and slightly sour taste and is delicious not only on bread but also added to cakes, desserts or as a filling for pastries.
Elderberries are rich in vitamin C, potassium and antioxidants and fruits and flowers are very used for therapy and as food. The raw fruits are slightly toxic, but this toxicity is destroyed during cooking. The main purpose of this jam is to offer an agreeable taste, the elder tree bud extract gives most of the medicinal properties.
